Properties of High-density Polyethylene HDPE
(1) the high crystallinity of pe-hd consequences in its excessive density, tensile power, high temperature distortion temperature, viscosity and chemical stability.
(2) pe-hd has better impermeability than pe-ld. pe-hd has low effect strength. the residences of ph-hd are particularly managed by means of density and molecular weight distribution.
(3) the molecular weight distribution of pe-hd suitable for injection mildew is very narrow. for density 0.ninety one ~ 0.925 g/cm3, we call it type pe-hd; for density zero.926 ~ 0.94g/cm3, we call it kind 2 pe-hd; for density 0.ninety four ~ zero.965 g/cm3, we name it type three pe-hd.
(4) the drift characteristics of the cloth are suitable, with mfr starting from zero.1 to 28. the higher the molecular weight, the more severe the ph-ld glide traits, however the higher the effect power.
(5) pe-ld is a semi-crystalline material with a high shrinkage of 1.5% to four% .
(6) pe-hd is prone to environmental stress cracking. cracking can be alleviated through the usage of materials with very low flow traits to lessen internal stress. pe-hd without problems dissolves in hydrocarbon solvents above 60 °c, but its antisolubility is better than pe-ld.
